Bringing together the product requirements of  downstream with material, equipment and technology matters, Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI Europe), Solarpraxis AG and Intersolar decided to strengthen forces with the “5th SMET Advanced PV Technology conference” which will be held on Wednesday 27th - Friday 29th  May in Munich as a site event of Intersolar 2009.
The basic idea is to create a broader view on the whole value chain: How does the installation and application of pv systems effect the choice of materials and constructions? Which further steps in development can be reached by thinking in markets from day one of a new technology?
