The Market
Photovoltaics
Although 2009 was a very difficult year, due to the adjustment to a new system of incentives together with an enormous deflation of module prices, 2010 may again bring optimism back to the sector. The industry has adjusted itself to the new environment and so the market is gaining new spirit.
The rooftop market segment is prospering in Spain. 2010 is expected to be a year of consolidation there with installations estimated at about 300 MW.
This fact, together with the most likely incentive to production for one's own use by the government and the very good conditions of irradiation, lead to Spain being one of the most important strategic markets in Europe.
In addition, one should not forget that there lies great potential in the installtions on the ground, which holds an important market for O&M of PV plants.
Solar Thermal
ST is currently having problems but solutions are on their way. The possible modifications that will be applied to the CTE and the creation of a remuneration system are key issues for the future of this technology.
Solar Thermoelectric
The new Royal Decree (tariffs, quota and market size), the reduction of costs for installation, the new competitors EPC and the fulfillment of deadlines for the pre-assignment for remuneration point to a promising future for Solar thermoelectric technology.
Target groups
The conference is aimed at executives and managers from the finance, technical and marketing departments of PV, CSP and Solar thermal companies, as well as distributors, suppliers, analysts, investors, management consultants and industry associations. There will be numerous representatives from the press and politics attending.
Thanks to its unique combination of topics and target groups, the conference offers an ideal arena for establishing new business contacts and initiating co-operative ventures.
